Plan for hatchery on course

Seattle Public Utilities is proceeding on schedule with its plan to build a replacement hatchery on the Cedar River, with hopes of it opening by late summer next year. Utility managers met with fisheries experts from state and federal agencies and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe last week to discuss how the release of a recent study investigating sockeye survival in the Cedar and Lake Washington might affect the plan.
