‘Par for the Cause’ Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Youth and Veterans

On Friday, August 29,  Soaring Eagle Properties will host a celebrity charity golf tournament with the RCH Racing team. Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to join in the fun and “Par For The Cause” at the Pohlcat Golf Course. The proceeds from this 18-hole scramble will be split between two non-profit organizations: Saginaw Chippewa Tribe Youth LEAD program and The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund. Through corporate and general public participation, more than $30,000 has been raised for this event so far.

All participants will receive a raffle prize at the end of the day, and one person will win a trip to Las Vegas provided by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, which includes airfare and hotel accommodations for four as well as tickets to watch the Motocross finals on October 18.

General registration fees are $600 per group of four. Fees include prize challenges throughout the golf course, a goodie bag with $10 in Premium Play, an invitation to an after-tournament dinner and award ceremony, golf shirt, and entry into the prize raffle.

Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and Soaring Eagle Waterpark & Hotel will also be offering special room rates starting at $89 for the general public participants.

Participants can register in person at Pohlcat Golf Course or call (989) 773-4221. On the day of the tournament, registration is at 8AM with a shotgun start at 9AM.

The list of celebrities scheduled to appear include RCH Racing’s Weston Peick, Carey Hart and Broc Tickle; The Huge Show’s Bill Simonson; and former NFL player Stuart Schweigert.

Youth LEAD is a Saginaw Chippewa Tribal community organization that encourages youth to become educated, healthy, successful leaders and members of society. The programs that are offered include mentoring, support and life-skills development based on Anishinabe cultural values.

The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund supports Michigan-based soldiers who have served and protected our country. This non-profit, non-partisan organization helps injured soldiers pay their living expenses and provides assistance to the families of the fallen.
