PALA, Calif. – Pala Casino Spa & Resort, owned by the Pala Band of Mission Indians, recently named two new managers to its staff.
Justin Atkins was named team member development manager and Jack Taylor was named public relations manager.
In his new position, Atkins is responsible for creating and implementing motivational, educational and developmental programs for all Pala team members that reinforce the culture of the company and solidify that its team members are its most powerful resource.
Atkins previously served as the training manager for Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., the flagship property for Gaylord Hotels. Before that, he was a global business consultant and provided organizational, cultural and leadership development in 42 countries.
Atkins, a native of Phelan, Calif., earned a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. He also earned certification in Franklin Covey, Development Dimensions International, Ken Blanchard and DiSC Behavioral Management programs.
Taylor will be responsible for all public relations and media relations programs for the Northern San Diego County gaming and entertainment property.
Taylor is a career public relations executive. Previously, he served as corporate public relations director for Station Casinos, Inc., was the public relations director for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and held public relations management positions at Lund & Manasse Advertising & Public Relations and MassMedia Corporate Communications, all in Las Vegas, Nev.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Columbia, Mo.
