According to a report from Indianz.com, the Paiute Tribe in Las Vegas allegedly rejected a gift from Dan Snyder's Original Americans Foundation.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said that representatives from the foundation have tried several times to give gifts to Nevada tribes.

“Redskins is a racist name and native Americans believe that,” Reid told The Reno Gazette-Journal. “They have tried to buy off some of my Nevada Indians and they have not been able to do that, giving them trucks and stuff like that."

The Paiute tribe was offered a van by OAF but they turned it down.

“The Indians, they understand that this is an issue that deals with them,” Reid said. “It is a moral issue with them. And he [Snyder] can hang on for a little while but it is not going to go on forever.”
