Two men who faced off in a battle to become chairman of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe are expressing different opinions about the legitimacy of the election. Chairman Brandon Sazue Sr., 36, was defeated by former chairman Duane Big Eagle Sr., 60, on April 15 in a race decided by 11 votes. Sazue received 343 votes to Big Eagle’s 354.
