A Denver company working to extend fiber optic cable through New Mexico has chosen an alternative route after hitting a roadblock at the pueblo south of Albuquerque. Pathnet Inc. has withdrawn an offer to the pueblo and instead will take its cable down the east side of the state. Pathnet offered Isl4eta $1.6 million and access to the fiber optics in exchange for a 20-year right of way through the pueblo. Isleta asked for a share of the company, a seat on the board and a 10-year right of way.
