Oklahoma Rep. Seneca Scott Appointed to National American Indian Legislative Group

State Rep. Seneca Scott, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was elected secretary of the National Caucus of the Native American State Legislators.

On January 31 State Rep. Seneca Scott, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was elected secretary of the National Caucus of the Native American State Legislators according to the Associated Press.

The Caucus is a working group of the National Conference of State Legislatures and Scott said that, “undefinedt is such a privilege to represent Native American issues and culture on a national platform, and I am honored that my colleagues in the caucus have elected me to serve in this role,” according to news-star.com.

The Choctaw Nation member has been involved with the NCSL since 2009 and says he hopes to work with other states using his experience to improve the lives of American Indians.
