Official: Indian remains won't affect levee project
The recent discovery of prehistoric American Indian remains at the Sacramento River won't delay the new Hamilton City levee project, a federal official said Wednesday. The bones of an adult male of American Indian origin, thought to be about 4,000 years old, and several artifacts were discovered March 30 on the west bank of the river, north of Hamilton City.
