Officers standing shoulder-to-shoulder to keep LNI safe


The scores of fans and contestants attending the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday afternoon barely noticed the sprinkling of blue uniforms greeting visitors inside and outside Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Those who did appreciated the presence of Bureau of Indian Affairs and tribal police officers who will assist Rapid City police with tournament security. "It's good to see all of them working together," said Agnes Randall of Wanblee on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
