ICTMN is saddened to learn of the passing of Nonabah Begay, wife of Navajo Code Talker Thomas H. Begay. Nonabah, 83, was also known as Nina; Thomas walked on in 2011. The Facebook page Our Navajo Code Talkers made an announcement about funeral arrangements.

Funeral service for Nonabah Begay, wife of Navajo Code Talker Thomas H. Begay, will be on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup, New Mexico. 

Nonabah was an avid and longtime supporter of the Navajo Code Talkers Association. She was renowned for her singing of the USMC Hymn in Navajo.... Nonabah will be greatly missed.
