NCAIED Salutes Its 40 Under 40; Announces National Economic Summit in Las Vegas

During the NCAIED Reservation Economic Summit in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 40 Native Americans were acknowledged for their outstanding leadership and contributions to their community.

WNBA MVP Shoni Schimmel, Award-winning Hip Hop artist and activist Frank Waln, and entrepreneur Justin Tarbell were among the list of Natives who were recognized at the 39th Annual Indian Progress In Business Awards Gala at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino on October 8.

And they all have one thing in common: they’re under 40.

This prestigious award recognizes 40 emerging American Indian leaders from across Indian Country who have demonstrated leadership, initiative, and dedication and made significant contributions in business and/or in their community, NCAIED says.

The organization also announced its National Reservation Economic Summit, which will be held in Las Vegas from March 9-12, 2015 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The summit features unparalleled access to respected tribal leaders, members of congress, federal agency representatives, state and local elected officials and top CEO’s, on a national platform.
