NBA Coach Phil Jackson to Raise Money for American Indian College Fund

Phil Jackson, the most successful NBA coach in recent history, has teamed with Omaze for a contest called "Relive the NBA's Greatest Moments With Phil Jackson," with proceeds going to the American Indian College Fund.

The idea is a simple one -- essentially a raffle. For $10 an entry (the price goes down if buying five or more), contestants get a shot at an NBA fan's dream: Airfare for two to Los Angeles and a presentarion by Jackson on the highlights of his career. Jackson won a record 11 NBA championships, and has been dubbed the "Zen Master" for his unconventional coaching style and motivational techniques. According to the official description from the Omaze website, "The Zen Master will walk you through game tape of past championship series and explain how he prepared his players, developed his strategy and much more."

Jackson grew up in Montana, and owns a home in the Flathead Valley. American Indian College Fund Director of Public Education Dina Horwedel told the Flathead Beacon that"Phil Jackson has supported us in the past and has been a big supporter of the [American Indian College] Fund. We’re excited to be working with him again." She added that "he wanted to do this [fundraiser] and donate the proceeds."
