Navajo/White Mountain Apache/Hopi

WASHINGTON ? U.S. Rep. J. D. Hayworth, R-Ariz., announced federal funding for Arizona water projects on April 5.

In a press release, Hayworth said that the U.S. Department of Agriculture had approved rural development grants and loans totaling $1.42 million for a new water system for the Hon Dah community in the Navajo County, water wells and storage tanks for the White Mountain Apache Tribe and an advanced wastewater pond for the Hopi Tribe.

The Hopi sewer project will replace a soon to be decommissioned wastewater lagoon and septic systems for 39 homes.
