Central Consolidated School District in New Mexico has launched its first Navajo immersion program, Farmington Daily Times reported. The program, currently limited to one kindergarten class at Eva B. Stokely Elementary School in Shiprock, is expected to grow annually until it spans the elementary grades, Eva B. Stokely Principal Mark Madsen said.
