Native Americans Sue Washington State For Sending Them to Mission School

Eight Native Americans have sued Washington state for putting them in mission schools, where they say they were sexually abused.

As reported by the Associated Press, eight Native Americans filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the Washington Department of Social and Health Services. Plaintiffs, who are now in their 50s and 60s claim the agency put them in a mission boarding school where they were sexually abused by a Jesuit priest decades ago.
