Native Americans could be found at Mt. Pleasant

ROY Tobias took this photo in October 1933 on top of Mt. Pleasant. Pictured are Chief Arnold Iron Shell, Chief Paw Grease and Chief Shout-At, all members of the Sioux Tribe. This is one of eight photos given to the Fairfield Heritage Association by George W. Mechling. Mechling had written on the back of the photographs that they were given to him because he had the idea of taking the men to the top of Mt. Pleasant for photographs. No information is given as to why the men were in Lancaster.
