A Ukiah-based non-profit housing developer has experienced two landmark achievements during 2009 after years of struggling to gain certification from the State of California as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). United Native Housing Development Corporation (UNHDC) was created as a mainstream affordable housing entity in 2002 with aspirations to help eligible Native American families not residing on reservation lands secure affordable housing.
