On Friday, November 30, the last day of Native American Heritage Month, the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK will hold a Native American History Month Program at 11:30 a.m. to honor the service and heritage of Native American veterans.
Guest speaker will be Dana Tiger, an award-winning, internationally acclaimed artist, who is best known for her watercolors and acrylic paintings depicting the strength and determination of Native American women. Tiger is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and was inducted into the Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame in 2001 in recognition for her accomplishments as an artist.
The program will also include booth displays featuring Native American artwork, quilts and clothing.
