Museum gets $144,051 grant to create Indian reservation exhibit

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center has received a $144,051 grant that will be used to create a permanent exhibit depicting life on the Mashantucket Indian reservation during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Mashantucket tribe received the money from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services’ Museums of America through its “engaging communities” category.
