AIM Co-founder Dennis Banks is asking for anyone who might have information regarding the disappearance of his 31-year-old granddaughter Rose Downwind.

Downwind, the mother of five children was reportedly last seen at the Target store in Bemidji, Minnesota on October 19, 2015. On Monday morning, family members saw Downwind drop her children off at school. When Downwind's sister went that same day to pick up her own children, she was not at home.

Dennis Banks told ICTMN he was worried. "I just want her to let us know if she is ok."

He also said he felt powerless in the situation. "Right now I can't help her," he said.

Banks also said, though no one knows what happened he is worried because of an unhappy breakup with her boyfriend. "I have no idea what happened. She has been separated from her boyfriend for six weeks. It ended in kind of a violent way where he picked her up and threw her down on an iron fence. Then she said she would never go back to him again," said Banks.

"She told her boyfriend, 'don't worry, you will never have to see me again.'"

Banks also released a statement to Native News Online:
