A 31-year-old employee at the tribe's casino in southern New Mexico has been indicted on charges of taking $10,000 from the casino's vault room. Lynell Scott, who was identified in court records as a money counter for the casino, is accused of stealing the cash April 8. A federal grand jury in Albuquerque indicted her earlier this month. Scott is charged with felony theft, which carries a maximum prison term of 10 years, and felony embezzlement, which carries a maximum prison term of five years. Each charge also is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000.
