Butte County supervisors aren't ready to give up their fight to block a proposed Mechoopda casino near the intersection of Highways 99 and 149. Tuesday, after a lengthy closed-session meeting, the supervisors issued a press release stating that the county will appeal a federal court ruling that would have allowed the Chico Rancheria Mechoopda to construct the casino on a 645-acre parcel north of Highway 149 and about a mile east of Highway 99.
