The Mashantucket Pequots resumed high-speed ferry service linking Connecticut to Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. Starting June 2, Fox Navigation - the company owned by the tribe - began running ferries from New London to Vineyard Haven. The trip will take just over two hours. The service was scheduled to run on a four-day schedule, Friday through Monday. The ferry leaves Connecticut at 9 a.m. The return trip departs the island at 4 p.m. The ferry can hold 290 passengers. Round-trip tickets run from $59 to $89, depending on the travel class. And on July 7, the company will add an additional ferry link from Glen Cove, Long Island in New York to New London. This expanded service will allow passengers to travel from Long Island to Martha's Vineyard in slightly more than five hours.
