Malta outfitter sentenced for leading illegal hunt


A 57-year-old Malta man accused of illegally hunting on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation has been barred from outfitting and guiding on federal land for two years. Donald B. Lynn was found guilty in May of violating the Lacey Act, which regulates the interstate sale, transportation and purchase of wildlife. He was sentenced July 1 in federal court and must pay $2,000 in restitution.
