Lummi tribal election is Saturday


Three incumbents on the 11-member Lummi Indian Business Council are up for reelection this year, and all three face challengers in the primary election scheduled for 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at council chambers, 2530 Kwina Road. The council is the governing body of the 4,400-member tribe. Council members will convene after the election to choose a tribal chairman from among them. The incumbent chairman is Henry Cagey.
