Where can you go to hear from indigenous leaders from around Mother Earth without actually going anywhere? The Global Indigenous Wisdom Summit is a free online series, and it starts today.

Host Chief Phil Lane Jr. will be joined by a group of 18 indigenous leaders including Chief Arvol Looking Horse, Winona LaDuke, Grandfather Tom Blue Wolf, Faith Spotted Eagle, Sun Dance Chief Rueben George, Dave Courchene, and many others.

The summit will run today, November 18 through November 20. Today, the topic is Indigenous Prophecies & Wisdom. The topic for November 19 is Challenges & the Healing Journey; and for November 20 is Bringing Our Prophesies & Highest Visions into Reality.

“It can be terribly disheartening listening to the media and hearing about the crises facing our human family and all life on our beloved Mother Earth. Environmental destruction, economic and political corruption, social and cultural disintegration, violence and human rights abuses abound,” states the Indigenous Wisdom Summit website. “With the focus on all that’s negative in our world, it’s easy to lose sight of the reality that the spiritual world is always bestowing blessings and opening up new possibilities.”

Here are some of the speakers who will be sharing wisdom during the Global Indigenous Wisdom Summit.

“At the core of this global restoration is the recognition that Indigenous peoples carry a way of being that is sustainable, harmonious, healthy and just,” states the site. “Their ancient wisdom can guide us in creating truly collaborative human relationships.”

If you aren’t able to listen in during the summit, the replays will be available. Just sign up at 2014.IndigenousWisdomSummit.com to have access to them.
