No good walks ruined at these upcoming golfing events. Instead, you'll be hitting the links to help some Indian country fund-raising efforts.

The Minnesota Indian Gaming Association will hold its 2013 golf tournament on Monday, June 17, starting at 10:00 am at The Meadows at Mystic Lake Resort & Casino. The gathering is the organization's only annual fund-raising event. Proceeds help defray association operating costs. The event is co-sponsored by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and Wells Fargo.


On Monday, June 10, Inter Tribal Sports will be hosting their Fourth Annual ITS Golf Tournament fund-raiser at the beautiful Sycuan Resort in El Cajon, California.

The qualifying tournament allows youngsters and teens the experience of a tournament atmosphere qualifying round without the pressure of preforming for a school or golf association, NAJO officials said.??It is also the qualifying tournament for five positions available on Team Chickasaw. The squad regularly participates in an annual national tournament as well as various other competitions throughout the year.
