In this video, Lax.com visited the Onondaga reservation to understand the importance of the Creator’s Game from a Native perspective.

The video focuses on two members of the Thompson family, Jeremy Thompson who plays professionally for the Edmonton Rush, and his father Jerome Thompson, Sr. who is the assistant coach of the Iroquois Nationals.

Members of the Iroquois Nationals have already arrived in Denver where the World Lacrosse Championships will be played. The team, which is part of the Blue Division, plays its first game on July 11 at 8p.m. on ESPN3 against England.

In 2010, the USA won the championship, and are the favorite to win again. But the Nationals have a strong opportunity to knock them out of the tournament.
