Jerri Denise Smith, 38, Gracemont, has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $5,600 in 1995 from the tribe. U.S. Attorney Dan Webber said Smith was employed by the Carnegie-based tribe in its procurement office. Under a plea agreement, Smith entered a plea June 28 to a misdemeanor that can carry a penalty of up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000. She may face restitution.
