Testimony presented in two related federal trials may not come before the jury when John Graham and Thelma Rios go on trial in state court this fall on charges connected with the 1975 slaying of American Indian Movement activist Annie Mae Aquash. Defense attorneys say evidence regarding an alleged rape and a reported murder confession by Leonard Peltier should not be allowed because they would unfairly prejudice a jury against the defendants, particularly Graham.
