Jim Thorpe Featured on Comedy Central's 'Drunk History' (It's not What You Think)

Comedy Central recently featured Hall of Famer Jim Thorpe in one of its latest gags called Drunk History. But don’t be offended by the name of the show. Its host, Derek Waters, tells famous peoples’ stories while inebriated. The idea, according to the website is to “Never stop learning your drunk history.”

In this episode, Jason Momoa, who is currently filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice plays Jim Thorpe as he trains for the Decathlon. Thorpe won the gold medal for the decathlon at the 1912 Summer Olympic Games in Stockholm, Sweden. At the games, the USA’s Avery Burndage was the heavy favorite to win the games, but Thorpe prevailed making history for his win as a Native American.
