According to a post on the production company Relativity Media LLC’s IMDB profile, as well as on Jason Momoa’s IMDB actor profile, the Hawaiian Native actor has been cast as the lead in a remake of The Crow.
According to several sources, including The Wrap, The Crow will begin filming in January 2017 with director Corin Hardy (The Hallow, Butterfly, Strangers) and writers Nick Cave, Cliff Dorfman, James O'Barr and Alex Tse.
Though Jason Momoa is only listed as ‘rumored’ to play the lead on The Crow, multiple online high-profile publications have hinted at his involvement. Momoa has also appeared with Hardy in Instagram posts by Momoa.
Momoa will play the iconic Eric Draven, a character described by the production company as a poetic guitarist, who is brought back to life by a crow a year after he and his fiancé are murdered.
The movie will be a remake of the iconic 1994 action/fantasy film The Crow, which starred the son of famed martial artist and actor Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, and was an adaptation of the 1989 comic book series by author James O’Barr.
