Awesome Native Music! Intertribalpalooza Hits Downtown Phoenix

A collaborative event is showcasing some of the best in contemporary Native Music, strategically planned to coincide with the annual Heard Museum Indian Market, which has an attendance of over 15,000 people and hosts 600 Native Artists.

Adrian Wall of Innastate who is organizing the event, says it’s an opportunity for the Native population and visitors to Phoenix to gather and network. Adrian has produced music events at the 2015 Santa Fe Indian Market, is a veteran of the Santa Fe scene and as a member of Red Earth helped to initiate the Electric Pow Wow event during The Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque.

Innastate (Reggae/Rock Santa Fe, NM), released their debut self-titled EP in April of 2015 and were voted by their fans as the 2016 RockwiredMagazine.com Best Performance Award by an American Indian/First Nations Band or Artist. They are Adrian Wall of Jemez Pueblo (Guitar/Vocal), Rylan Kabotie of Santa Clara Pueblo/Jicarilla Apache (Bass/Vocal), Lawrence Bailon of Santa Clara Pueblo (Drums). Innastate also utilizes a large pool of talented musicians for live performances, including Jir Anderson (Guitar), Carly Marshall (Tenor Sax), Doug Bellen (Keys). - www.innastate.net

Scatter Their Own (AlterNative, Pine Ridge, SD) Self-dubbed Alter-Native Rock Duo, Oglala Lakota from Pine Ridge Rez. Scotti Clifford (Guitarist and Vocalist) and Juliana Brown Eyes (Bassist and Vocalist) have toured from Canada to Texas, and Los Angeles to New York City. Scattering their own music to all nations in all directions, they were nominated for "Best Rock Album of the Year"/”Taste The Time”, at the 2015 Indigenous Music Awards in Canada. Scotti refers to their music as a modern day buffalo hunt. "In order to provide for my family, we must follow the music." No problem packing up their Tipi and guitars in order to follow the buffalo, they’ll be returning to SXSW Music Festival in Austin TX in March of 2016.
