Indian Health woes draw Senate scrutiny into Aberdeen-based system

U.S. lawmakers announced Wednesday that they are investigating charges of mismanagement and possible criminal activity at the regional Indian Health Service based in Aberdeen. Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., who heads the Senate's Indian Affairs Committee, said he's troubled by staffing shortages and high turnover in leadership at a hospital on his state's Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation.
