A group of sixth-graders on a field trip this week came across what could be ancient bones that had been unearthed on a Nikiski beach, according to Alaska State Troopers. The students called officials after finding a lower jaw bone Tuesday afternoon, and troopers responding to the scene found other bones partially exposed in a beach-side bluff, Soldotna trooper Jeremy Grieme said.
