Hotel's taxation back in court

The owner of Great Wolf Lodge has asked a federal judge to rule that Thurston County can't assess or collect property taxes on the indoor water park and hotel, reaffirming a decision by state revenue officials. The owner, CTGW LLC, said state law requires Assessor Patricia Costello to abide by a determination from the state Department of Revenue in August that federal law pre-empts her from levying the property taxes.
