The primary newspaper covering Hopi lands, the Hopi Tutuveni, will be closed under a budget passed Monday by the Hopi Tribal Council, according to the paper's editor. The 6,000-circulation paper will publish through mid-December, but may or may not publish an issue for the end of the year, said Stewart Nicholas, the Tutuveni's editor for the last nine years.
