Pay tribute to the dedication of American Indian soldiers and honor all those who have fallen this Memorial Day, May 27, at the Heard Museum in Phoenix.
Three centuries of service will be honored, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the Steele Auditorium with remarks from Dr. Wayne Mitchell, Dakota Sioux/Mandan, a life member of the Heard Museum Board of Trustees, followed by an honor song performed by Thunder Springs drum group. The performance will be followed by a viewing of the movie Native American Veterans: Storytelling for Healing.
Afterward, visit the American Indian Veterans National Memorial on the museum grounds to learn more about the devotion of American Indian soldiers to their country. For more information go to, Heard.org.
