Jim Sawgrass, a descendant of the Florida Muskogee Creek Tribe, recently wowed Seabreeze Elementary School students in a presentation on how American Indians once thrived as hunters who progressed from using a spear to the bow and arrow and eventually the musket. But first Sawgrass dispelled some myths perpetuated by American culture about American Indians' language and practices.
