If Wednesday's standing-room only meeting is any indication, there's plenty of interest in re-opening the Yuma Speedway. Nearly 100 people attended an organizational meeting at the Cocopah Resort and Convention Center. The meeting came on the heels of last Thursday's announcement by the race track's owner, the Cocopah Indian Tribe, that it had approved the renovation of the three-eighths-mile oval track. The track has been closed for 10 years.
