The Fort Sill Apache Tribe of Oklahoma on Tuesday received a notice of violation from the federal government for operating paper bingo at its Akela casino. Philip Hogen, chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission, in an eight-page document indicated there was no way to correct the violation and told the tribe to cease gaming at the site. According to the notice, the tribe may also be issued a fine for the violation.
