Fire at Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas Resulted in One Critical Injury


One person is in critical condition from inhaling smoke from a fire at the Golden Nugget hotel in downtown Las Vegas, firefighters told Fox News.

City and county firefighters responded to the alarm before 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The blaze appeared to be contained in one 22nd-story guest room. Sprinklers were activated and helped stop the flames.

The 21st, 22nd and 23rd floors have been evacuated, and the fire has been extinguished, Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
