Financial support for casino shifts


The Mohegan Tribe has backed off its financial support for a proposed Kenosha casino. But the Connecticut-based tribe remains interested in developing and managing the $1 billion Menominee Nation project, a tribal leader said Wednesday. “Certainly every business has some financial constraints this year,” Mohegan Vice Chairwoman Lynn Malerba said in an interview. “And so we’re just trying to be fiscally conservative to the people that we’re responsible for here.”
