Robert Abeyta, Santa Clara Pueblo, a seventh-grade student at the Santa Fe Indian School, carefully signed his name to a ceremonial copy of the Collaborative Agreement that was recently inked between the University of New Mexico and the school. Students like Abeyta will benefit from the agreement, which is intended to prepare SFIS students for possible admission to the UNM School of Medicine and provide educational guidance and opportunities to Native students interested in becoming health professionals.
