A former spokeswoman for the Mashpee Wampanoag is suing the tribe for more than $400,000 in back pay and expenses. Gayle Andrews, who cleaned out her office in Mashpee the day Cedric Cromwell was elected tribal council chairman in February, claims the tribe owes her a monthly salary of $28,000 through November, when her contract was due to expire, according to a complaint filed April 16 with the Leon County circuit court in Tallahassee, Fla.
