DWR says Book Cliffs bison doing well


Biologists with the state Division of Wildlife Resources are pleased with the success of their bison reintroduction efforts in the Book Cliffs, which created the third bison herd on public lands in Utah. “Our surveys this spring and summer have documented not only great survival but also fairly good reproduction,” said DWR wildlife biologist Dax Mangus. “So far we haven’t seen any sign of winter loss on the 44 bison we reintroduced.
