In your bid for the presidency, please remember that dire ethical concerns still remain with those of us in Arizona who have been here for a long time, and will be here long after you are gone.
Although you may very well not carry even Arizona in the upcoming national election, you must still represent the best interests of the people and the land of our state, win or lose.
Recently, the U.S. Appeals Court ruled against the sanctity of our beloved San Francisco Peaks here in Flagstaff. And that’s what their ruling in favor of artificial snowmaking with wastewater at the Snowbowl ski area amounts to – a violation of the deepest religious principles of a great majority of the Natives and local residents of northern Arizona.
Yes, a lot of us will vote against you on Nov. 4, because Barack Obama may better represent the hearts and minds of Arizonans. But, win or lose, you are still one of our senators and you must oppose this awful judicial interference in the religious freedom of our people.
We will not take this latest unethical outrage against our land and peoples lying down. There will be serious opposition to these effluent pollutions on our sacred Peaks.
