The former chief financial officer of the tribe's Lode Star Casino at Fort Thompson pleaded guilty July 17 to embezzling money from the casino. Connie Goodlow, also known as Connie Thompson and Connie Drapeau, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced Oct. 15. The thefts happened between Feb. 1, 1999, and Sept. 30, 2000, U.S. Attorney Michelle Tapken reported. Goodlow altered financial documents to prevent the casino from discovering she had written about $28,000 in bad checks to the casino, Tapken said in a news release.
