The Crow Tribe is exploring the idea of making use of the vacant Hardin jail, possibly as a drug-and-alcohol treatment center for Indians from across the country. Crow Tribal Chairman Cedric Black Eagle said Monday that representatives of the tribe met last week at the jail with representatives of the city of Hardin, Sen. Max Baucus’ office, the Department of Justice and holders of the bonds used to finance construction of the jail.
