More than 2,300 acres of rangeland and wildlife habitat on the reservation were consumed in a fire started June 19 by sparks from a tribal road crew's brush cutter. It burned south and west of Toppenish, just off U.S. 97. No injuries were reported and no buildings were damaged, BIA fire management officer Max Corpuz reported.
